Maison Margiela, formerly Maison Martin Margiela, is a French luxury fashion house based in Paris and founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. A contemporary of the "Antwerp Six," Margiela's design work is known for being deconstructive and highly conceptual. MM6 was launched in 1997 simply as "Line 6" with the purpose of building a more accessible collection (both in terms of price point and ease of wear) and has since become beloved by true fashion lovers world wide.
