What started in Laguna Beach, California in the early 1980's from Shawn Stüssy's simple fascination for subculture is now a revolutionized brand of street and surf wear. His iconic brand, Stüssy, originally began as a love affair for custom surfboards designs. From there, the label rapidly grew with Stüssy selling merch out of the back of his car, and finally lead to launching stores all over the US. The early success of the eponymous brand has been atstributed to its popularity in the hip hop, skater, and surfer scenes - and rightfully so. What was once an 80's staple for youth skate and surfwear is now the leading trademark for streetwear of all ages alike.
