The Filatti Top by Eckhaus Latta. Produced using Filatti Group technology which allows digital printing on hand loomed knitwear. Made from Italian yarn featuring whimsical hand drawn illustrations, a high neckline and an unexpected open back with criss crossing straps.
Zoe Latta and Mike Eckhaus met while attending Rhode Island School of Design. The two quickly found success designing for the likes of Opening Ceremony, Proenza Schouler and Calvin Klein, however felt this commercial work to be restrictive. Out of that discomfort, the pair founded Eckhaus Latta in 2011. The line is greatly fine art influenced, showcasing collections in the Whitney Museum, MoMA PS1 and the Hammer Museum. This influence is apparent in their mesmerizing prints and unexpected use of textiles. The rebellious nature of Eckhaus Latta fits right in at LCD.
