In 2015, London and Biarritz saw the nascence of Bower Swimwear, a synergy of the creative efforts of Rupert & Fiona Ryan. Combining nostalgia and an evolving demand for functionality in design, the label delivers a meticulously constructed modernity, while respectfully honoring the past. Influenced by a childhood spent by the sea at Sydney’s Fairy Bower, the brand's designs respond to a need for modern and beautifully constructed swimwear that retains functionality and ease of wear, partnered with a fresh take on beach cover ups.
Bower Swimwear is ethically produced and made in Italian mills that use Econyl® regenerated Nylon derived from pre- and post- industrial waste such as discarded fishing nets, carpet fluff, tulle, etc. These same mills support the ‘Healthy Seas’ initiative who’s aim is to clear our planets water from pollution, with a focus of ridding it of ghost fishing nets that are so highly damaging to the natural environment.
