Hello friends, I just wanted to write a quick note of thanks to all our clients and friends who donated and shopped with us this past week.  We donated 20% of all online sales to the LA Regional Food Bank, which provides much needed food and assistance to our city's neediest citizens.  We raised over $1,950 for this amazing food bank, which comes out to over 7,800 meals.

Thank you, thank you!!  During this crisis, it can feel like you're paralyzed with fear, with indecision, with inaction.  I mean, we're literally trapped inside our houses.  But we did that!!  We did something good for each other.  You should definitely feel good about that! 

Stay tuned for our next fundraising effort -- feel free to DM us or email us at info@shoplcd.co if you have ideas and suggestions.  My thoughts are turning more and more frequently to the situation in my former home city, New York, where hospitals are rapidly running out of Personal Protection Equipment for their staff, where the death toll from Covid-19 has now surpassed 2,000. We won't be sending just thoughts and prayers, we'll be doing our best to help organize mask donations and financial donations to hospitals there.

Through all of this, it's still my daily job to keep the wheels turning here at LCD (as you can see from this 1:45am blog post). Let's keep supporting each other and small business!
