After studying painting at Central Saint-Martins and earning a masters degree from Parsons School of Design, young designer Claudia Li interned with celebrity stylist and fashion designer Brandon Maxwell, working with Maxwell to style the likes of Lady Gaga and more. She was then discovered by none other than Jonathan Anderson, who then hired her as womenswear designer at J.W. Anderson. Since then, the New Zealand and Singapore-raised Li has returned to New York launched her own collection that is the clear markings of her wonderfully myriad background. Dramatic clothing with painterly strokes, organic volumes with impeccable tailoring are the foundations of this very exciting new brand.
